Eerste Communie has always been more than just an event to me—it’s a celebration I’ve attended for years and grown alongside. What began as a tradition among friends eventually became a creative collaboration when I was invited to help shape its visual identity. Being trusted to translate the spirit of Eerste Communie into design was a meaningful opportunity, and it’s been a pleasure to contribute to the atmosphere and experience through thoughtful, tailored visuals.

Eerste Communie began as an underground rave—intimate, raw, and full of energy. What started in secrecy quickly gained momentum, fueled by a passionate community and a love for music. Over the years, it evolved into a widely recognized party, known for its distinct atmosphere and strong identity. Today, Eerste Communie is celebrated in multiple countries around the world, while still holding on to the rebellious spirit that started it all.

The visual identity of Eerste Communie was always meant to feel raw and unpolished—grungy textures, chaotic layers, and a collage-like approach that mirrored the party’s underground roots. The design had to feel handmade and a little rough around the edges, like something pulled from a zine or a torn flyer on a city wall. It was never about being clean or perfect; it was about capturing the energy, the messiness, and the spirit of a night that doesn’t follow the rules.
